India’s leading airline, IndiGo has taken another stride in expanding its domestic network by inaugurating non-stop daily flights connecting Bengaluru and Shivamogga, effective from August 31, 2023.

This addition propels Shivamogga into the spotlight as the 79th domestic and 109th overall destination within the extensive 6E network. IndiGo’s commitment to enhancing intrastate accessibility and bridging key destinations domestically and internationally through Bengaluru is underscored by this strategic move.

“This direct connectivity will not only facilitate intrastate travel but also link Shivamogga with major domestic and international destinations via Bengaluru. As our network continues to expand, our unwavering commitment remains to provide our passengers with punctual, cost-effective, courteous, and seamless travel experiences across our vast network.”

Nestled on the banks of the Tunga River in Karnataka, Shivamogga has earned the moniker “gateway to Malnad” for its role as an entry point to the scenic Western Ghats. The city is cradled by five prominent rivers—Tunga, Sharavathi, Kumudavath, Tungabhadra, and Varada—that gracefully add to its allure. The region beckons tourists with attractions such as the Jog Falls, Kodachadri, Dabbe Falls, Agumbe, Gudavi Bird Sanctuary, Kundadri, Madhugiri Fort, and Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary.

IndiGo boosts connectivity with Delhi-Belagavi daily direct flights

The daily direct flights between Delhi and Belagavi, will start effective from October 5, 2023. This initiative seeks to fortify point-to-point connectivity and enhance accessibility between the northern and southern regions of India. The commencement of these flights is also poised to benefit travellers seeking newer destinations, especially during the upcoming festive season.

The flight schedule for the newly launched Bengaluru-Shivamogga route is as follows: Flight 6E 7731 departs from Bengaluru to Shivamogga on a daily basis, with an effective start date of August 31, 2023. The departure time is set for 9:50 AM, and the flight is scheduled to arrive in Shivamogga at 11:05 AM. Conversely, Flight 6E 7732 operates from Shivamogga to Bengaluru daily, also commencing on August 31, 2023. Departure from Shivamogga is scheduled for 11:25 AM, and the flight is anticipated to reach Bengaluru by 12:25 PM.Travellers keen to explore Shivamogga can plan their journey by booking tickets through the airline’s official website.

IndiGo stands among the fastest growing low-cost carriers globally. With a fleet of over 320 aircraft, the airline operates 1900+ daily flights, linking 81 domestic destinations. Moreover, it is poised to further extend its footprint, adding 32 international destinations.
